About EAEN

Vision

Improve quality of people's life through achievement of peace, food security, poverty alleviation, participatory planning and implementation of natural resources conservation measures as well as environmental protection.

Mission Statement

EAEN believes that sharing information, experiences and resources is vital for the achievement of peace, food security, poverty alleviation, socio-economic development and healthy environment. The regional NGO is, therefore, committed to contributing effectively to the provision of requisite for and appropriate channels for people to network as individuals and as representatives of organizations, agencies, institutions, associations and communities. EAEN also promotes research for acquisition and dissemination of additional relevant information.

Objectives

To increase and intensify public awareness on environmental and development issues in the Eastern Africa region.

To promote environmental networking among concerned citizens, organizations and institutions within Eastern Africa.
To increase awareness of current and emerging environmental issues.
To recognize the outstanding contributions of committed environmental actors.
