InterConnection opened a distribution point in Santiago,
Chile in May, 2009. The first shipment of 349 computers
arrived in April to start the project. InterConnection
Chile will promote the responsible use of electronic
products, especially PCs. It will distribute low-cost
PCs to underserved communities with the goal of creating
opportunities through digital inclusion. Future plans
will be to establish an in-country electronics reuse and
recycling center and create a sustainable model for
computer reuse that can be shared in other countries.
